Working with newborns and kids of all ages is what I am most passionate about and with over 11 years of experience, I am able to guarantee an easy session and quality images every time. Hi Friend! I’m August!

Thank you so much for your interest in my photography! My name is August Payton (Pronouns He/Him) and I have been a Newborn, Family, and Event photographer in Missoula Montana for over 11 years. Over the years I have pursued many avenues in photography, but the one that always leaves me feeling joy is newborn and child photography.

Some may know me as a 28 year old guy obsessed with Dinosaurs and sushi..Others know me as the guy that has 3 German shepherds, a chihuahua, and 55 house plants. I am guilty of all and especially guilty of forgetting to water myself. BUT if there’s one thing a newborn photographer and a dad of 4 dogs and 55 plants have in common, its patience. No matter how wild your kids get, you will always catch me having fun with them, redirecting their energy, and smiling through all of it.

T H e P R O C E S S

1 ) L E T ‘ S C O N N E C T

Wether you are a first time parent or this isn’t your first rodeo, you might still have a lot of questions before your session. I love to make sure we connect at some point before your session and I always make sure you have all the info you need to help you have a smooth and easy session. If you aren’t quire sure how things work, give me a call or reach out via email below and I would love to chat more about your newborn session. 2) B O O K I N G A S E S S I O N

Booking a session is super easy! First, pick out a package that fits your needs best, and then continue to view my online calendar to book. To book any session and hold a date/time, I always require the full amount as the non-refundable booking fee. This is non-refundable if you cancel but reschedules are always ok with notice of one hour or more. I totally understand that not every baby arrives on time, and even when they do, things happen. Just reach out with a little notice and you can pick another time!

Not sure what package to pick? The most common chosen is the one hour standard package- this package allows for a little wiggle room if baby gets fussy and gets the job done with time for creativity.

 3 ) T H E S E S S I O N

Your session should be easy and done for you, so you can fully just enjoy and experience your child’s first professional photo shoot. You will only need to step in when your baby needs food, a cleanup, a change, or some comforting, unless you want to do the handling and posing. I will send you a guide before your session to help you prep the baby and or space (if an income session) to ensure a smooth session. During the session, I will do all of the wrapping and posing of your baby, aside from personal clothing that will be put on by parents. Sessions can be photographed at no additional charge in your Missoula home or a local Missoula park. In-home sessions outside of Missoula will be required to pay a reasonable travel fee. You may book an indoor Missoula studio space for an additional fee. Please be sure to communicate this before booking your session.

4) P O S T - S E S S I O N

After your session you can expect the following things to happen:

1) Socail Media/Website Post- I typically love to share images from sessions I have shot on my social medial and website. Sometimes I shoot at a very high volume and don’t always have time to post everyone and some are posted after you receive your images- but I wanted to give you a heads up that I could share your images. I never share names, unless you’d like me to, and please note that you may opt out of this if you choose. Just be sure to let me know BEFORE booking.

2) Selection Gallery Delivery - You can count on receiving your selection gallery of images via Email.

You will be instructed/guided to choose your included number of images from a variety of images that have been fully edited and are print ready. Once you choose your images and submit them to August.

5) N E W B O R N P A C K A G E S

THE STANDARD PACKAGE

This package includes the must haves and all you need to fully capture your newborn! The standard package guarantees natural and quality edited digital images, a small preview gallery within about 72 hours, printing rights released, and you receive your images to select for download within 2 weeks. This is available for the following 3 packages:

THIRTY MINUTES - 20 Edited Digital Images- $200
ONE HOUR- 40 Edited Digital Images- $300
TWO HOUR- 80 Edited Digital Images- $500

THE PREMIUM PACKAGE

This package is for those that want to capture their newborn in motion, in the form of a short home video, as well as a faster turnaround. The Premium Package guarantees natural and quality edited digital images, a 30-60 second video of you newborn and or family, a small preview gallery within about 72 hours including the video, printing rights released, and you receive your images to select for download within 1 week. To ensure we have enough time to capture everything needed, this is available for the following 2 packages:

ONE HOUR- 40 Edited Digital Images + Video- $550
TWO HOUR- 80 Edited Digital Images + Video - $700
